Professor Winfield Scott Hall (1861-? ) was a professor of Physiology, Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago and member of the American Physiological Society. From 1904 until 1905 he was a chairman of the Section of Pathology and Physiology, American Medical Association; he was a fellow of the American Academy of Medicine and its President from 1905 until 1906. He was a fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science. His works include: Elementary Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene for Higher Grammar Grades (1900), A Manual of Experimental Physiology for Students of Medicine (1904), The Biology, Physiology and Sociology of Reproduction (1907), From Youth into Manhood (1909), Nutrition and Dietetics (1913), Sexual Knowledge (1916), Youth and Its Problems: The Sex Life of a Man (1919), Sex Training in the Home (1926) and Love and Marriage (c1929).
