Mia is an eleven-year-old girl who wishes to be queen of every country in the world. As a child in a multi-cultural family she is curious about different cultures, as well as her own. One day, her eldest brother challenges her to find a special five-leaf clover, which has powers to grant one wish. Mia accepts the challenge, and is soon making her wish to be queen of every country in the world. Later that night a fairy appears. When Mia touches her tiara and thinks of a country, she magically appears as queen for an hour. The fairy also brings to life Miaas favorite doll, Bee Bee, which is a large stuffed bumblebee, to accompany Mia on her adventures from countries A-Z. In this book, Mia and Bee Bee travel to one country starting with each letter of the alphabet. Although there may not be a queen in each of these countries, there are significant women who played vital roles in shaping their cultures. Although the characters are fictional, the cultural events in Miaas and Bee Beeas journey are factual. This book is for young readers in third to fifth grade, and includes a theme song entitled A, B, C Yeah!
