All six movies from the popular 'Rocky' franchise. In 'Rocky' (1976), club fighter Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) has hit rock bottom. Having turned 30, his boxing career is virtually over and he now makes a living collecting payments for a loan shark. Things start to look up when he begins dating Adrian (Talia Shire), sister of his friend Paulie (Burt Young). However, when world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) decides to take on a 'nobody' in his title fight, Rocky finds himself chosen. Encouraged by his coach, Mickey (Burgess Meredith), he begins training for the big fight - much to Adrian's disapproval. In 'Rocky 2' (1979), Rocky's (Stallone) life returns to normality following his near loss to world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Weathers). Anxious to prove that Rocky's performance was a mere fluke, Creed offers him a big money rematch. Now unemployed and with a child on the way, Rocky has little option but to accept. In 'Rocky 3' (1982), now world champ and having enjoyed ten wins in three years, Rocky (Stallone) has become over-confident and complacent. He pays the price when he is humiliated in the ring by Clubber Price (Mr T), and this disaster is compounded when Rocky's trusted trainer Mickey (Meredith) dies. Determined to reclaim his reputation, Rocky unexpectedly turns to his old adversary Apollo Creed (Weathers) for help. In 'Rocky 4' (1985), Rocky (Stallone) heads to the Soviet Union after Russian boxer Drago (Dolph Lundgren) beats his friend and trainer Apollo Creed (Weathers) to death in the ring. However, will the Italian Stallion be able to vanquish a fighter whose punches can deliver a one tonne-per-square inch impact? In 'Rocky 5' (1990), robbed of his millions and brain-damaged after years in the ring, Rocky (Stallone) is forced to move back to his old neighbourhood. Rocky Junior (Sage Stallone) finds it difficult to adjust to these hard times, and feels further alienated when his father takes on a protege. In 'Rocky Balboa' (2006), Rocky (Stallone) is now a 50-something widower after the death of his beloved Adrian. His relationship with his son has also deteriorated and Rocky finds solace only in the stories he recounts to the customers who visit his deli. However, everything is about to change as a 'what if' debate emerges as to whether current champion Mason 'The Line' Dixon would have been able to beat Rocky in his prime. Nobody ever suspects that the match might actually happen, given the 30-year age difference. However, when Dixon's management sets up an exhibition fight, the gauntlet is well and truly thrown down and an enthusiastic Rocky grasps it with both hands. The Italian Stallion re-applies for his license, rounds up the old gang and sets off on the long journey to his long lost fitness and ability.
When her sister dies at the hands of an evil queen, the fearsome warrior Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen) sets out to seek her revenge. Joining forces with the only man who can match her in a fight (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Sonja battles all the monsters and magicians who stand in her way, until she finally comes face-to-face with the queen. However, as the evil one holds a talisman which can destroy the world, the conclusion is far from foregone. Richard Fleischer directs.
Collection of five films starring Sylvester Stallone. In 'Assassins' (1995) professional hitman Rath (Stallone) decides it's time to call it a day, even though he is still the best around. But as he searches for a way out he discovers that he is now the target of another assassin, Bain (Antonio Banderas), who is determined to be the new number one. The two men are both sent on an assignment to kill intelligence operative Elektra (Julianne Moore). However, Rath decides to flee with Elektra and outwit Bain. In 'The Specialist' (1994) US demolition expert Ray Quick (Stallone) attempts to abort the assassination of a South American drugs baron when he realises innocent children will be killed in the explosion. However, his partner (James Woods) goes ahead with the mission, leaving the duo permanently estranged and Quick psychologically scarred. Years later, a beautiful woman (Sharon Stone) asks Quick to come out of retirement to kill a Cuban drug lord who has murdered her father. Quick initially refuses, but is soon drawn into a plot that brings him in contact with his ex-partner once again. In 'Tango and Cash' (1989) two mismatched cops, one sharp-suited (Stallone), the other a slob (Kurt Russell), are thrown together when they are framed by a big-shot gun-runner (Jack Palance). They are put in prison, duly escape, and then attempt to clear their names whilst trying to track down a massive haul of weapons before they get shipped abroad. In 'Demolition Man' (1993) LA cop John Spartan (Stallone), nicknamed 'Demolition Man' due to his hands-on approach to law enforcement, is condemned to 70 years in the penal freezer after being set up by Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), Public Enemy Number One. Halfway through his sentence, however, both he and Phoenix are catapulted out of captivity, discovering their city has been transformed into a peaceful utopia, under the benevolent rule of mayor Dr Cocteau (Nigel Hawthorne). As a mysteriously pumped-up Phoenix carries on where he had left off 35 years earlier, Spartan teams up with a comparatively feisty cop (Sandra Bullock) to bring him to justice and expose the man who is engineering the whole scenario. In 'Cobra' (1986) a tough detective known as Cobra (Stallone), is assigned to protect a beautiful model (Brigitte Nielsen), the only witness to a series of brutal murders. It transpires that the killings are not the work of one lone psychopath but rather a highly organised army of neo-fascists.
A collection of all three 'Beverly Hills Cop' films. In the first film Eddie Murphy plays fast-talking Detroit cop Axel Foley, whose regular assignments include tracking down cigarette thieves. When a friend is killed, he begins an unofficial investigation which leads him to Beverly Hills, where he runs into trouble with the straight-laced police force who disapprove of his anarchic methods. However, with the help of fellow cops Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Taggart (John Ashton), he tracks down the killers. In the second film Foley (Murphy) is called off a credit card case when his Beverly Hills buddies are foiled on a trail more suited to his unique skills - that of an illegal arms dealer (Jurgen Prochnow). With Brigitte Nielsen as a James Bond-style hitwoman. Finally in the third film Axel's boss is gunned down in a bungled raid in Detroit, and Axel (Murphy) swears to catch the killers. The trail leads him, once again, to Beverly Hills and a huge theme park, which is run by the head of a private security firm. After many capers, it transpires that the theme park is printing counterfeit cash.
Four action movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In 'Total Recall' (1990), Doug Quaid (Schwarzenegger), a happily married construction worker living in the year 2084, is haunted by a recurrent dream in which he is living with a woman on Mars. Rekall Incorporated offer him the chance to live out his dream through a microchip which implants any memories their client desires into their brain. But something goes wrong during the installation of Quaid's memories of a trip to Mars and soon he lands up on the planet for real, unsure of his true identity and pursued by a gang out for his blood. He teams up with a group of resistance fighters to uncover a mystery which leads to the highest echelons of the planet's government.
In 'Red Heat' (1988), Moscow policeman Captain Ivan 'Iron Jaws' Danko (Schwarzenegger) is on the trail of Russian drug dealer Viktor Rostavilli (Ed O'Ross) in the USA when he is ambushed by the dealer's gang. When Rostavilli makes his escape, an American cop is killed. Danko teams up with the dead cop's partner (James Belushi) in a bid to complete his mission, but the resulting culture clash between East and West causes various hilarious problems.
In 'Raw Deal' (1986), former FBI agent Mark Kaminsky (Schwarzenegger) was forced to leave the Bureau due to his excessive brutality. When someone is required to infiltrate Luigi Patrovita's (Sam Wanamaker) crime organisation in Chicago, Kaminsky is offered a second chance by FBI man Harry Shannon (Darren McGavin). He agrees to take on a job as Patrovita's bodyguard, and destroy the mob from within.
Finally, in 'Red Sonja' (1985), when her sister dies at the hands of an evil queen, the fearsome warrior Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen) sets out to seek her revenge. Joining forces with the only man who can match her in a fight (Schwarzenegger), Sonja battles all the monsters and magicians who stand in her way, until she finally comes face-to-face with the queen. However, as the evil one holds a talisman which can destroy the world, the conclusion is far from foregone.
Hollywood film actress, Danish supermodel, ex-wife of Stallone, ex-lover of Schwarzenegger, abuse survivor--Brigitte Nielsen offers a deeply personal account of her remarkable life For almost 30 years Brigitte Nielsen has been part of the jet-set--romantically involved with international film stars, beautiful, and rich--but life has not always been full of Hollywood glitz. In this compelling and honest biography, Brigitte describes how she survived incredible lows, including a suicide attempt and alcoholism. From a normal upbringing in an ordinary middle class family in the Copenhagen suburbs, she grew into a tall and skinny teenager, her looks soon transforming her life at the age of 16 into that of a glamorous international supermodel. She had four marriages and four amazing children. But her life eventually became unbearable because of a violent husband, and years of misuse of alcohol. In recent years Brigitte has returned to the spotlight appearing in dozens of films, recorded two music albums, and starred in several reality television shows. This is an honest account of the dark side of the life in the public eye, the pressures of being a mother, how she lost herself, and how she then found the courage to face life and regain what she had lost.
Comedy horror musical starring Daryl Hannah and Michael Madsen. When Oliver (Richard Driscoll) and Stanley Rosenblum (Darren Morgan) aka The Jews Brothers are accidentally sent to entertain a Neo Nazi group, their manager, JJ (Steve Guttenberg), tries to make up for his error by sending them to perform at the Eldorado Festival. Also heading for the town is Jessica Albino Jones (Rebecca Linley), who has run away having stolen a million dollars from her husband, strip joint owner Roy (Patrick Bergin), who in turn sends his friend, Ted (Madsen), to track down his wife. As the travellers reach Eldorado, they realise the townsfolk are cannibals, who are eager to have Stan and Ollie for their main dish, and that escaping isn't going to be easy, especially when a mysterious creature known as The Stranger (Hannah) has ideas of its own... David Carradine and Brigitte Nielsen co-star with Peter O'Toole narrating.
