Before there was Batman, there was Gotham.

Everyone knows the name of Commissioner Gordon. But what of his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the layers of corruption in Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world's most iconic villains? Gotham is the origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.

From executive producer Bruno Heller, this crime drama follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city and chronicles the genesis of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Although the crime drama follows Gordon's turbulent and singular career, it also focuses on his unlikely friendship with the young heir to the Wayne fortune – a friendship that will play a crucial role in helping the young boy eventually become the crusader he's destined to be.

When it becomes clear that crooked cop Billy (Logan Marshall-Green) has absconded with the loot, the merciless Topo takes Chloe and Sophia hostage to help him reclaim it. Though Topo's sight is failing him, he remains a canny operator, and Chloe, Sophia and, indeed, Billy, will do well to survive their encounter with him.

Secrets Hidden tells the true story of a woman rising from the ashes of her harrowing childhood. Living with her family in an old, dusty Mercury, author Robin Rae Schillereff traveled from state to state with her alcoholic parents and her older brother, Johnny. In this memoir, as she recounts the ups and downs of her journey as the daughter of a traveling salesman, long-forgotten memories emerge. Episodes unfurl with humor and pathos, guided by parents who were oft en too self-absorbed to understand how their frivolous actions affected their daughter. As she recalls her childhood in the 1950s, the dramatic response that she had to these life changes as an adult becomes clear. Robin also writes about her substance abuse and the very close calls she has with an overdose and her subsequent hospitalization. She opens up about all of the secrets she has held inside since her childhood- the feelings of abandonment by her father and her confusion about her early years. Moved by her will to survive, she was a girl who lived by the side of the road for much of her early childhood. Uplifting, funny, and heartbreaking, Secrets Hidden makes clear the resilience of one woman in the face of such an unusual childhood.

Excavations at two sites in the southern suburbs of the modern industrial town of Scunthorpe, originally a rural landscape with a scatter of villages overlooking the River Trent and its tributary, Bottesford Beck. Finds of flint tools show that humans had been around throughout prehistory; by the late Iron Age the Burringham Road site probably lay at the southern limit of a settlement, and for much of the Roman period there is evidence of various activities, mostly agriculture-related, and including several corn-driers; perhaps there was a villa nearby. The Baldwin Avenue site shows evidence of a Middle Saxon settlement with notable artefacts being three large lead vessels of a type that seems peculiar to the region. The title of the report reflects the fact that these two sites are peripheral to larger complexes, but nevertheless provide good information about them.~
