My Extraordinary Life (Hardcover)

The reason I had for writing this book began I think when one day I found myself lying in a cancer ward, while my dear wife was in a different ward in the same hospital her with Alzheimer and bladder cancer and me with bowel cancer. I lost my wife of forty-odd years in 2004 and then informed by my urologist that I now had prostate cancer with six months to live. But just like Job in the Bible, I kept my faith and took my youngest son for a three-week holiday in Italy, in Rome, Florence, and Venice. It brought back many memories of my time there in the army and the life I had lived.
