Bollywood drama. Vidyadhar Patwardhan lives a middle-class life with his wife, Sumitra. Their son, Amar (John Abraham) works in London, sending home money to keep the family afloat. One day he returns to India with his fiancee Jenny Meyer (Anusha Dhandekar), but on the eve of a surprise bithday party, he is killed in an argument, supposedly over drugs. Unwilling to believe their son was mixed up with drugs, Amar's parents question the Police story. But when Jenny is subsequently arrested for drug possession, their belief in their son's innocence is tested, causing them to dig deeeper to uncover the truth.
