Dean & Co. to go West he said that he would consider the matter of my agency in my absence and to stay as long as I wanted to and call on my way back. He authorized me to see what I could find in the way of offices. RE-DIRECT EXAMINATION. By Mr. Olcott: My wife had a litttle investment right near the winding up of the business. The dividend in fifteen days amounted I think to somewheres in the vicinity of 8 to 10 per cent. Sometimes the dividend was q or 10 per cent, and sometimes as high as 12 per cent, and a fraction over. Q. I think you said on your direct examination that you did not get back any part of this two hundred dollars that you invested in Wheat No. 2? A. No, sir; I did not get it back. O. Did you send any other moneys, moneys of your customers to wheat combination No. 2? A. Yes, sir. O. To what amounts, if you remember? Objected to. Objection overruled. Exception. Mr. Davis: This is going again into a direct examination. It is not a proper redirect. Mr. Olcott: I ask your Honor to permit me to ask that at this point. 705 The Court: I will allow the District Attorney to do so.
