Y.W. was a boy who grew up in East Los Angeles and had a minimal opportunity for success, as any other child from his neighborhood. With a father and mother who were lifelong drug addicts, he was destined to become another statistic. However, he was able to survive the streets of East Los Angeles while finding his true love, Samantha, along the way. With the two of them living life as a team, they were able to create a very successful life together. The addition of their daughter, Anna, inspired a passionate love within Y.W.'s soul that he had never experienced in his life. Then, in one instant, Y.W. was accused of a crime and sent to prison with the assistance of corrupt cops. Anna was left to grow up without her father and the both of them became emotionally wounded.
