Asenath Scott grew up in Barbados and migrated to England, where she completed studies in nursing. Her desire to pursue community health care was realized when she graduated with a diploma in Public Health in Jamaica, West Indies. This is where her career was challenged, when goals were altered, and new goals had to be set. At forty years old, just when she anticipates "beginning to live," a major, life-threatening accident occurs which alters not only her partner's physical features, but also his personality.
