In cutting 40 acres of clover, with one mower, how early would you begin? Answer. I would begin when it was almost in full blossom, not quite, and then I would get it cut in two weeks. Question No. 2. How long would you let the average clover lie in good weather before cocking? Answer. I would cock it up the same day it was mowed, unless I mowed it the night before, but it had not dried any. Question No. 3. How long would you leave it in the cock in good weather before putting it in the barn? Answer. About three days. Question No. 4. Would you open it out before putting it in? Answer.
