Not illustrated. 1905 Excerpt: ...to the N Treasurer to pay to James Welsh, John Welsh, 251 Michael Cornelisse and Jacobus Delamontagne Warrant Issued Bellmen of this City or Order the sum of Six pounds Curr Money of New York in full of their sallary as Bellman and Watch of this City from the first day of November last to the first day of this Instant December Order'd that no Brickmakers or Charcoale Burners within this City and Corporation do fell or Cutt down any Trees Firewood or Timber upon the Commons of this City for Burning of Bricks or Making of Charcole upon pain of being prosecuted at Law as Trespassers. And it is hereby further Ordered that it shall and may be Lawfull for any Freeman of this Corporation to Carry away and take to his own use any firewood or Timber that shall be found felled or Cutt down and lying upon the Commons of this City. Provided the same be not Carryed of the said Commons by the Person or Persons who shall so have Cutt & felled down the same in two days after the same is so Cutt and felled down.
