For the Inhaler, which is a common tin vessel acd tube, with two small bottles of inhaling fluid, they charge the moderate sum of twenty dollars; for an extra 2 oz. vial, three dollars. Emulsion of Pumpkin Seeds as a Remedy for the Expulsion of Taenia Lata.--In several of our more recent exchange.-, we find cases reported in which pumpkin-seed tea was effectually employed for the removal of this worm. The following is the formula used by Dr. Hunt, of Buffalo. Take of the seeds of the pumpkin, ij., bruise in a mortar, and add enough of boiling water to make eight ounces: this is to be drunk at once, and in two hours after, full dose of castor oil. Foreigr. Dr. Marshall Hall.--This distinguished physiologist has been elected a corresponding member of the French Academy of Science?, Section of Medicine and Surgery. The other candidates were Rokitansky, Christison, Riberi, and Chelius, a strong band of competitors. M. Bernard has been appointed to the Chair, at the College de France, vacated by the death of the celebrated M. Magendie. Mr. Fergusson has been appointed Burgeon extraordinary to the Queen of England.
