Worcester, It thus appears that in Suffolk County aloue the ratio of increase in the population is greater than that of the divorces, although the latter have increased in a greater proportion than the marriages. The greatest percentage of divorce increase has been in Essex, and the lowest in Dukes and Nantucket. In comparison, however, Avith the change in the population, Norfolk stands the lowest, since with an increase of 25 per cent, in the number of divorces, Dukes and Nantucket have suffered a decrease in their population of;(0-7 per cent, and the same ratio in the number of marriages. In Barnstable County, also, there has been an increase in the number of divorces, with a decrease in the number of marriages and in the population. In Norfolk there has been a decrease in the number of marriages of 69 per cent. The highest rate of increase in the population appears in Suffolk, and the lowest in Norfolk.
