Excerpt: Margarita Drobiazko (born December 21, 1971 in Moscow, Russia) is a Lithuanian figure skater. She currently competes in ice dance with Povilas Vanagas. The pair captured the bronze medal at the 2000 World Figure Skating Championships and have competed in the Winter Olympics five times. They have also won two bronze at 2000 and 2006 European Figure Skating Championship. They were married in June 2000. They retired from competition following the 2001-2002 Olympic season, but returned to competition in 2005. They retired again following the 2005-2006 Olympic season.
