The Kyocera Z 0 (Zi-O) will be Cricket and Kyocera's first Android phone. The phone will run on Cricket's 3G EVDO network, and will also have Wi-Fi capabilities. The other available smart phone will be the Blackberry Curve, which will work on Cricket's EVDO network. Cricket covers about 90% of the United States using roaming agreemeents with MetroPCS and Sprint Nextel, and only has broadband coverage in many major metropolitan areas. It still limits service to people where they are in a Cricket Coverage Zone. In August 2006, Leap Wireless participated in FCC Auction 66, which distributed Advanced Wireless Services spectrum. The company won 99 licenses. This will expand their coverage to 27 additional markets. Services have already launched in Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, Nevada, and South Texas along with Beaumont.
