Words Too Are Beautiful (Paperback)

'In the lines of a poem there does reside an abiding beauty No ordinary words that lure the reader into a profound reality' Thus I begin the introduction to this book of verse. The pleasure of reading a poem is felt when the reader appreciates this 'abiding beauty' by reading its lines again and again, sometimes reading in between the lines, to capture the image portrayed that often conveys the central idea of the poem.. .. With this, I feel the poet turns out to be important, with an obsessive passion for more significant poetry, that he goes on to say 'Roses bloom each season Until one day the petals fall off. Poems fill the pages every hour Until one day the pages fall off. But the poems don't because Poems written over the hour Are poems that live forever' And 'ere time gain abyssal depths," far beyond my comprehension, the words of a poem and the work of a poet serve as fond reflections for all time to come. This leaves more room to a celebration of words - a poem is worth a countless words. And I hope this collection of poems is truly that celebration of words, words that too are beautiful making each poem 'a thing of beauty' that 'is a joy forever'.
