We think this, considering the many admirable precedents in our behalf, rather hard; but determined that our work shall come forth in all things agreeable to the publishing fashion of the times, we have selected from the old masters that which was denied us by the new; and we trust that the " discerning" public will at once recognise with us the truth of the prophetic spirit in which our labours are by them described.
