English summary: Socio-cognitive spatial constructs play an important role in identification processes. But how can spatial representations be conceptualized and methodologically collected as offers of identity? Linguistic geography-making as the basis of identity cannot be analyzed without context: the present volume shows a discourse-linguistic approach, integrating text, intertext, and context analysis. The applied pragmatic text-linguistic methods provide access to the process of spatial construction, while the link to a discourse-analytical approach provides a connection to the universe of social knowledge. The attempt by the European Union to establish itself on the dissemination of European-identity as an imagined community is exemplarily examined.
