Blue Mesa Review, No. 11 - Outsiders (Hardcover)

Founded in 1989 by Rudolfo Anaya, the Blue Mesa Review is the annual publication of the University of New Mexico's Creative Writing Program. This year's issue is constructed around the theme of "Outsiders."? From the painful and beautiful childhood memories of an old woman (Barbara Kwan, "Granddaughter"?) to a young woman's escape from the security of childhood (Felecia Caton Garcia, "Cuento Ensuenado"), Blue Mesa Number 11 brings together fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that address the loneliness and independence that come with being on the outside. More than thirty authors are featured.
