Loot is advertising this Crystal Aire 'Executive' Purifier under their description that one can control speed on the control panel, and under their features description it states 'Sleep Mode, Auto On/Off and Timer Function ...alll this purifier can do is On/Off mode & an On/Off modes for lights. They were R200 more expensive than Takealot, and all of a sudden they've dropped their price by over R650, I wonder why !! I have bought many books etc from Loot & this is the first time I have been so utterly disappointed.

Unlike the less expensive Crystal Aire LED Ionizer units, this one is very quiet. The former can drive you to distraction. The price difference is not that great when you consider the Executive unit comes with a three-pack of small sample concentrates, as well as a full-sized bottle. Pros: Quiet, great for small-ish spaces, air smells fresh and clean, great for countering the dry air effect produced by air-conditioners, definite improvement in allergies and congestion. Cons: Not effective in large open-plan areas (perhaps a number of them would work), the concentrates need to be topped up daily as the fragrance dissipates at a disappointingly fast rate. If you plan on using a Crystal Aire unit in your office or a bedroom, definitely go for this one as the others are just way too loud! I would have given the Executive unit five stars were it not for the required daily fragrance top-ups despite running the unit at lowest speed. (Yes, I do also own the Crystal Aire LED Ionizer unit and hate it due to the noise. I can but speculate that the cheapest unit - Crystal Aire Standard air purifier - is unlikely to be less noisy.) Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. Great for office or bedroom.

Having had several air purifiers over the years, this one seem to be far ahead of the others. It does not use water a fast as the others and is amazingly quiet. Also very handy having the room temperature visible. I would recommend this to anyone who want's to enjoy clean air. The only shortfall is the scent does not last long.
