Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (as amended), the Government can publish statutory guidance which provides advice on matters to be taken into account by adjudicating bodies, such as courts and tribunals, when they are determining whether a person is a disabled person for the purposes of the Act. The existing guidance was written in 1996 and is now being revised and updated. The closing date for responses to this consultation document is 31 October 2005.
