Oliver is sent to the Employment Office on Prune Street. So begins his unexpected and perilous journey to the Castle of Aquabar. There, young Oliver meets the Master of Aquabar, as well as the eccentric Dr. Glenk, his cat, Mephibosheth, Jacob the Toad, along with six other children. Together, the seven youngsters learn they must prepare to fight The Seven Shadows. Though the children are all normal, they do have special abilities. The Masters of Aquabar, who also number seven, each has a special skill they impart to the children. After a short training period, the seven children set out against the Seven Shadows (and the horror in the Church of St. Boniface). But it turns out, the Shadows are figures from the children's pasts. Will they be able to defeat these Seven Shadows and return to the castle in triumph? With a cast of vivid characters worthy of Charles Dickens, The Seven Shadows is a fantasy adventure that will enthrall readers of all ages. About the Author: Dr. Donald Stevens lives in Bournemouth, England. He is the archivist of Christchurch Priory, circa 1094. This church is the basis for the Church of St. Boniface in his novel. He has a doctorate in history, is a Fellow of the London College of Music, and a Fellow of the Institute of Linguists.
