Managing Information Overload for Senior Leaders in the 21st Century (Paperback)

This book represents two years of scientific research and development of an original theory, the Grounded Theory of Information Overload Executive Coping Mechanisms. The theory maps out coping mechanisms useful for senior leaders, Company Presidents, Top Directors, and CEOs, as they face important leadership decisions while combating conditions of information overload. In an age of Too Much Information (TMI), the reader will find high-value information in this book. An extensive review of 109 years of literature determined there were 16 main types of coping related to how leaders could overcome information overload and reach mission success for their organization. Current real world participants, each a senior leader, participated in the study. Via actual leader participation, it was determined that all 16 coping mechanisms were utilized, and that leaders had a preference for certain acts of coping over others, as their first choice to deal with the effects of information overload upon decision-making.
