The NW passage opened for the first time in recorded history, much of the United States' honeybee population mysteriously died, and China bypassed the United States in total carbon emissions. Another year has elapsed on planet earth - with fires and floods, migrations and meltings, storms and extinctions, it's been a busy one. The 2007 numbers are in and once again it's time to take the pulse of our planet... to find out just what kind of shape it is in.
