He is the greatest man who shows how this may be, for nothing is truly sublime but Moral Greatness, for nothing else can claim kindred with the Divine, and that alone is great. To bring these principles to a practical test, take a survey of the human governments throughout the world, and then examine the actual results. In what part of the world have these principles ever been carried out in practice? Where are the results? and, what are they? If these principles be sound and true (as all Christian countries, at least, admit), what other results, than those we see, could have been expected from the manifest disregard wit...
