The S3 is a regional railway line of the S-Bahn Z rich on the Z rcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Z rich transportation network, and is one of the network's lines connecting the cantons of Z rich and Aargau. The line runs from the northeast of the canton of Z rich from Wetzikon and heads for Dietikon stopping by Z rich Stadelhofen and Z rich Hauptbahnhof. Some services continue beyond Dietikon to Aarau. All services are operated by Re 450 class locomotives pushing or pulling double-deck passenger carriages. The train frequency is usually 30 minutes and the trip takes 55 minutes or 84 minutes. Trains operate between Dietikon and Aarau every hour.
