Under each classification the manufacturers' names are arranged alphabetically, and where the trade names of goods are given each manufacturer's name is given a number. The trade names of goods are given below the list of manufacturers' names and addresses under the classification to which they belong, and each trade name listed is given the same number as its manufacturer In the list above. For Example: Suppose you desire to know who makes the Meadow Queen alfalfa sweep rnke. You will find this classification on page 34. In the list of trade names under that classification you will find Meadow Queen 12. By referring to 12 in the list of manufacturers above you will see that this number is given to B. Children's Sons Mfg. Co., Council Bluffs, la.--the manufacturer of the Meadow Queen alfalfa rake. This arrangement enables quick reference to all machines or other articles for any specific use, and to all others related in any way thereto, as well as to the name and address of any particular manufacturer in any line, or to all of them, or to any particular machine by its distinctive or trade name.
