Are the dear angels singing their lullabies to Baby Hetty now? Bobbie and Birdie still go daily up to 8--2 r Merton House, hand-in-hand; and Marion Earle, whilst filling their heads with the useful things of earth, never fails to mingle with them lessons of God and heaven--lessons which will benefit them, not only for time, but for eternity. On Sunday they go with Nurse Nelly to Mass, and in the afternoon to Catechism. Father Earle always devotes a portion of his sermon to the children--this portion he calls the ' Children's Corner.' Every word in it is so simple that even the youngest child present can understand it. Pleasant anecdotes, cleverly interspersed, illustrate its truths, and fix them on the children's memories more effectually than anything else will. Mr. Earle considers the children by no means the most insignificant part of his congregation. He knows in his own district of many an instance where hardened or careless men and women have been awakened to a sense of their duty by the words spoken in the 'Children's Corner, ' repeated to them at...
