Learning About Language (Paperback)

This volume uses a variety of texts from a selection of subject areas in order to promote literacy at Key Stage 3. Analysis of these texts gives pupils the opportunity to learn about English vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation and the structure and style of different genres. The l anguage elements are woven together to show how writers achieve their effects, emphasizing the focus of language study as language in use.
