These poems are a gift from God. As you read the subject matter of 'Gifted Moments, ' you will discover poems of several flavors such as spiritual, family, love, employment and church life. Some poems will make you laugh, others will make you seriously think, some will stir up memories, while others will leave you encouraged. My style of writing tends to tell a story. Perhaps you will find your story or perhaps you will relate to a particular poem in a life-changing way. Maybe you will be blessed with one of those 'aha' moments. 'Gifted Moments' is unique because there is something for everyone and everyone can relate. Maranatha Patricia Jackson Allen was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Raised in a culture that said 'children are to be seen and not heard, ' Pat found her voice in the pen. Her father was a Literature Evangelist, which means as a child she traveled a lot. This afforded her the opportunity to see life through many different lenses. She is a single Mom and has one adult daughter, Tricia Nicole. Currently residing in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Pat serves as an Associate Treasurer of the Southeastern Conference of 7th day Adventists located in Mount Dora, Florida. She has served the church for 37 years.
