Not illustrated. 1876 Excerpt: ...the following: Resolved, That the Secretary be instructed to procnre the fullest data possible, through correspondence and otherwise, from County and other Agricultural and Horticultural Societies, and inriividuala, the fullest reports possible of the condition of the crops of the State, from time to time, and arrange a tabular report of the same, for publication in the transactions of this Board. Lewis Ellsworth, Jas. R. Scott, Jonathan Pkriam, Committee. Mr. Emery introduced the following, which was adopted: Resolved, That the names of committeemen be excluded from the next Premium List. On motion of Mr. Periam, H'olved, That the Hlinois State Board of Agriculture recognize the efforts for good of the U. S. Signal Service, and ask of Congress that they take sucn steps as they may deem necessary to improve from year to year the efficiency of the same. Mr. Cobb moved that the Secretary furnish each Vice-President with a list of the committeemen he is to furnish, who shall complete and return the same to the Secretary without unnecessary delay. Carried. Mr. Cobb moved that the Secretary send a Premium List to each member of the Awarding Committees. Carried. Mr. Dysart moved that $15 be appropriated to each Vice-President for agricultural papers. On call of the yeas and nays the motion was lost, by the following vote: Yeas--Mr. Periam. Nays--Messrs. 'Ellsworth, Emery, Herririgton, Rosenstiel, Dysart, Neely, Cobb, Dunlap, Douglass, Beaty, Judy, Smith, Scott, Bishop, Russell, Stookey, Landrigan and Gillham. Mr. Stookey moved that the gates to the Fair Grounds be closed on Sunday before the Fair. Carried.
