Defective (verier), stripe, is also Neuter; but tuber, a kind of apple, is common.-ES.--Substantives in-es, Gen.-itis, are Masculine, except Feminine merges; all other imparisyllabics in-es and-es are Feminine, except Masculine paries and pes, but not compes, f. fetter.
