Thriller in which a horror novelist finds himself immersed in a plot far more terrifying than any of his books. Christopher Roth (Joaquim de Almeida) is a bestselling novelist seeking a change in direction. Though writing about brutal murders has made him his fortune, the grizzly scenarios he concocts have recently been invading his dreams and have left him wondering how long he can go on conjuring such horror without personal repercussions. He decides that a period of relaxation is required and treats his wife Catherine (Anna Galiena) to a holiday in rural Italy. Unfortunately it is here that real life horror catches up with him. First a young couple are found murdered near the Roths' house, then Catherine goes missing. Christopher will have to face firsthand the kind of terrors he has made his living from if he and Catherine are going to have even a chance of survival.
