The voluptuous man most reioyceth in his pleasures, and would rather feu both earthly and heauenly patrimonies, than he would be depriued of his fensuall delights. And according to their 30 40 joy in keeping them., such is their scare of losing them, andanswerable tobothistheir sorrow and griefc, when as they ate taken from them. On the other side, they whose &) hearts are inflamed with the fire of Gods loue, doc most reioyce in hinn, and in the assurance of his loue and mercie towards them; and making most "precious account ofthisie well, they had rather lose the whole world than Gods fauour, or the testimonies thereof in their ovfta consciences, -and grieue more when hauing fallen into sinne, they want the ioy of their saluation, and doe not apprehend the loue of God, nor sensibly discerne the beames of his fauour shining into their: hcarts, as theyhaue done before times, than if they were depriued ofall the honours, riches, and pleasures of the world.
