Not illustrated. 1890 Excerpt: ...creditors less than twenty shillings in the pound, or dying in insolvent circumstances, the lender of any such loan as aforesaid shall not be entitled to recover any portion of his principal, or of the profits or interest payable in respect of such loan, nor shall any such vendor of a goodwill as aforesaid be entitled to recover any such profits as aforesaid until the claims of the other creditors of the said trader for valuable consideration in money or money's worth have been satisfied. 6. In the construction of this Act the word "person" shall include a partnership firm, a joint stock company, and a corporation. Contracts for sale, &c. of shares to be void unless the numbers by which such shares are distinguished are set forth in contract. Registered shareholders may see lists.
