Shoot the Moon (Hardcover)

Michael Goodman is, by all accounts, just that: a good man. But he's also recently widowed, out of work, deep in debt, and unable to pay the mounting medical bills for his seriously ill daughter. So when he accidentally finds a bundle of narcotics in Florida and gets nowhere in his attempts to turn it in to the local police, he returns home to New York City with plans to convert the load to cash. Along the way to making a fortune, Goodman and his young daughter Kelly befriend a pretty former prostitute, and together they encounter New York thugs, a host of law enforcement sleuths, and Florida drug lords who have no qualms about killing in order to recover what Goodman wants to sell. Eventually, all of the players converge in a collision that is at once harrowing and hysterically funny.
