The Year in Neurology 2003 (Electronic book text)

In this, the second volume of the series dedicated to neurology, the focus is again on five topics where clinical science has made rapid advances in the last year; epilepsy, Alzheimer's, headache, stroke and Parkinson's disease. Once again, developments in many fields have contributed to these advances, and the papers selected are drawn from a variety of specialities, including radiology and functional imaging, neurochemistry, and psychopharmacology. The section editors, each recognised authorities in their field, have selected over 150 papers published in the last year that have made a significant contribution to our better understanding of these disorders. Expert commentaries on the latest research, and the results of key clinical trials help the reader to place these developments in the context of their own daily practice, thereby ensuring that The Year in Neurology 2003 continues to serve the needs of the busy clinician with informed comment on recent advances in the field. What the reviewers said about previous issues: This is an accessible and authoritative distillation of the recent neurological literature; and at 49.50 (US$80) has to be considered a bargain. ACNR November 2001 This book will certainly provide the reader with a concise, focused resource of recent developments in the field of clinical neurosciences. It is hoped that this type of concise and critical reviews on recent progress in neurology will be continued in the future. EFNS Newsletter April 2002
