Immortal Rain, v. 6 (Paperback)

Rain arrives at the security office too late. He realizes he just missed Machika when Ys enters. As he chokes the boy, Eury enters and says Machika needs his help. They run to a window and find her hanging from a flagpole. A passing blimp gives them an idea. They pull it into the building and Machika lands on the top of the blimp, but it flies away again separating the two. Rain is trapped by Ys. Rather than be taken captive, he jumps from the height. Ys orders a new character, Dora Folk, to capture Rain. (Later, when Dora wants to go after him, he contradicts himself and says he doesn't care about Rain and Rain needs to come to him.) Machika regroups with Sharem. She wants to return to look for Rain, but Sharem says it's too dangerous. Later, Eury has what looks like Rain's dead body in his apartment. His apartment is being surrounded by Calveria forces when Rain jumps to life. They make a daring motorcycle escape. Rain jumps off saying he'll handle the chasers. But, Dora drives past him and stops Eury. He sends his pet, a low grade angel, to kill him. Rain returns in the nick of time, though it's a trap to catch him. Rain manages to kill the creature and evade the trap. He and Eury walk back to the city. Finally, an announcement is made on TV - Methuselah will appear at Siren's Castle, an amusement park, and take on any bounty hunters and assassins. Of course, Machika goes along with lots of others. Everyone is looking for him. The owner is making lots of money. At the last moment...he appears...
