Khana Ratsadon, or the People's Party, frequently mistakenly written as Khana Rat, was a Siamese group and later a political party, which staged a bloodless coup against King Prajadhipok. Its actions led to the transition of the Siamese Government from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy on 24 June 1932. n 1927 the Kingdom of Siam was under the absolutist rule of the House of Chakri, under King Prajadhipok (or King Rama VII).
