He was one of the Acolytes, who first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #300.Javitz is a giant with enormous strength and durability, who is missing his right eye. Javitz is one of the Acolytes who helped kidnap geneticist Moira MacTaggert. The group keep her in their current headquarters in a facility in France. Javitz says he's been watching the X-Men pursue their cause for "years" before throwing himself in the fray. When they battle the X-Men, he seems particularly contemptful of Cyclops, whom he tries to kill.
