Going west into Indiana, the road is known as Greenville Pike, and goes about 10 miles (16 km) west into Winchester, Indiana. State Route 502 is mainly surrounded by rolling farmland with a few small hills 2 miles (3.2 km) into the state at its junction with Hillgrove-Southern Road. There is a small unmarked town called Sharpeye at the junction of Palestine-Union City Road. About 6 miles (9.7 km) later, the road enters Greenville, and turns left onto W. Main Street. Two blocks later, it meets a large multiplex of state highways at its eastern terminus: State Route 49, State Route 118, State Route 121 and State Route 571. All of these state highways meet up in the downtown traffic circle.
