Ranch to Market Road 505, Ranch Road 505, or RM 505 is an 8.8-mile (14.2 km) road maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) that connects U.S. Route 90 to Texas State Highway 166. The entire highway is located within Jeff Davis County, Texas, and it creates a portion of the route linking the county's only two towns: Valentine, the only incorporated city in the county, and Fort Davis, the county seat and the county's largest town. The road is part of the state's Farm and Ranch to Market Road System. Despite providing part of an important link between the county's two major communities, the rural road does not itself pass through any cities or towns. There are no highway intersections between the road's termini.
