Spencer Loomis Elementary School is a member of Community Unit School District 95, serving parts of Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, and surrounding communities in Lake County, Illinois. The school is named after Spencer J. Loomis, a former Lake Zurich teacher and principal, and WWII veteran and local historian who has written several books (among other things) who, as of 2011, still resides in Lake Zurich. Spencer Loomis is located at 1 Hubbard Lane, Lake Zurich, Illinois off of Old McHenry Road, just east of Rand Road. It and adjoining Middle School North opened in 2003; they are the newest schools in the district.
