Warkocz [ vark t ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzelin, within Strzelin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Strzelin and 35 km (22 mi) south of the regional capital Wroc aw.Lower Silesian Voivodeship (also known as Lower Silesian Province, or by its Polish name of wojewodztwo dolno l skie [v j vut stf d ln l sk ] or simply Dolno l skie) is one of the 16 voivodeships (provinces) into which Poland is currently divided. It lies in south-western Poland, corresponding roughly to the region of Lower Silesia (the northwestern part of the historical and geographical region of Silesia), but also includes the eastern part of Upper Lusatia. Its capital and largest city is Wroc aw, on the middle Odra (Oder) river.
