The film starring Rajinikanth, Kushboo, Juhi Chawla and Manorama among others was released in 1991. This is one of the very very few movies that tanked at the box office even though Rajini factor was there. Also this was one of the few times when Rajinikanth went through an abyssal point in his career and had to bounce back after a few formulaic masala films.
