MOCHA MOUNTAINS. Brixton-hill, out-station to Four-paths.)--The school in this locality, commenced by the Native Teacher, John Grange, in August last, affords every encouragement. The number of children under instruction is 60. Since the 11th of December, the people have assembled at stated periods to unite in Divine worship. On that day a collection was made to assist in defraying the expenses of the station, which amounted to 70 currency. Toll-gate, --put-station to Four-paths.)--At this place, the population is rapidly increasing. It is situated half-way between Four-paths and Poms; and, in a house fitted up for the purpose, Divine worship is held every Wednesday night. The Gospel has also been preached once a week, on a large sugar estate, called Parnassus, 4 miles from Four-paths, but under such discouraging circumstances, that Mr. Barrett intimates the probability of its relinquishment. One of the church members at Four-paths, is, however, appointed to visit the place twice a week, in the hope of producing some beneficial result. CHAPELTON. The operations of the Society at this station, which were commenced in July, 1838, have been attended with a very encouraging measure of success. Notwithstanding the inconvenience occasioned by the want of a suitable place of worship, (the Mission buildings not being yet completed, ) the congregations are large and increasing, regular in their attendance, and remarkably attentive to the word of life.
