James Conlon conducts The LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus in this live performance of Verdi's 'Macbeth'. Plácido Domingo stars in the title role with Ekaterina Semenchuk as Lady Macbeth, Ildebrando D'Arcangelo as Banquo and Joshua Guerrero as Macduff. The story follows Macbeth as he returns from battle to encounter three witches who tell him his future is to become king of Scotland. Blinded by power and ambition Macbeth sets his sights on the throne and is prepared to do just about anything to get there.
