Schwimmende Garten / Floating Gardens (English, German, Paperback)

The "floating gardens", the highlight of the International Horticultural Exhibition (IGA) in Rostock in 2003, form a fantastic symbiosis between art garden and sea. The central design theme of the theme parks is the metamorphosis: This is spatial characteristic of Rostock with its maritime transitional landscapes and - in their temporal and global dimension - experienced in the evolutionary stages of the plant world. The conceptual, planning as well as the physical components of the project originated in Europe and were joined in Rostock to a work of art. The book documents in gorgeous color photos and short accompanying texts the genesis and implementation of this project.
