Elementary Conversation: Student's Book (Paperback)

Effective speaking involves interactive skills which need to be developed systematically, with equal care being paid to accuracy and fluency. The three titles in this series focus on those speaking sub-skills appropriate to the level of the learner and build these up through activities which can be done either in class, or by learners working together without the teacher. Since speaking requires constant practice, the attention given to the role of the learner is a key element towards building success. The book is designed to help students who are familiar with the basic tense structure of English to speak accurately and fluently on everyday topics. Part one covers conversational skills. Six fundamental skills are presented and key language is provided for controlled and free practice. Part two contains conversation topics. These topics are likely to be encountered by most students and key language is provided. There are vocabulary boxes for students to add their own words.
