Cabaret Voltaire - Micro-Phonies (1984) Significantly further into their career, the Synth-Pop group Cabaret Voltaire continued to produce esoteric music. While not as primitive as their earlier sounds, this album was their most popular. It is one of their more accessible sonic assaults, following the music trends of the 1980's, and even for music historians, gives us more of their "sampling" of other artists work, which has become a norm in the current day, but back then was a fledgling trend, frowned upon and considered "edgy" or pretty dodgy. For fans of their work this album is a must, especially as it has been remastered, but for the rest of us it is more a case of collecting music history, good or bad, like their earliest works - to be found on the album release "Cabaret Voltaire - 1974-1976 (1980)".
